Our STORY

Welcome to Waynad Pantry: Preserving Tradition, Nurturing Nature

In the heart of the Wayanadan mountains, where the soil is as dark and precious as gold, our story begins. In 1997, our parents cultivated plots of land, unaware of the true value of the crops they grew— spices like Wayanadan pepper, cardamom, bird eye chilies, nutmeg seeds, cloves, cinnamon, tea, and coffee. These mountains were our home, and the crops our livelihood.
The journey, however, was not without sacrifices. Pressured by the need for our education and a better
life, our parents reluctantly sold their mountain plots to migrants who, like them, were unfamiliar with
the worth of the soil. The mountainous terrain and proximity to the forest made the transactions
challenging, resulting in undervalued sales.

Fast forward to 2023—this is our time. Having traveled the world, we’ve tasted diverse flavors and
experienced the uniqueness of spices from different corners of the globe. The realization struck—we
possess something extraordinary, something the world needs to taste.
Our ambition took root. We delved into the art of farming under the guidance of our parents, the best
farmers we knew. Learning not just how to farm, but also how to sell—ensuring high quality, hygiene,
and organic practices. Our products are precious, and we are passionate about sharing them with the
world.
Waynad Pantry is not just a business; it’s a journey driven by a love for our roots and a commitment to
sustainability. We proudly introduce our eco-friendly mountain farm and organic products. Why
Wayanadan mountains? The answer lies in the “Black Gold” that is the soil—a characteristically rich
and unique soil that enhances the taste, growth, and organic nature of our crops.
Our commitment to eco-friendliness extends to our practices. Pure mountain rainwater nourishes our
plants, flowing through pristine streams adorned with herbal concoctions from wild plants. The result?
Healthy, medicinal plants that make our products a blessing for consumers.
At Waynad Pantry, we believe in preserving tradition while embracing global diversity. Our goal is
